The Allegiance is a beautiful, historic, and elegantly restored circa-1838 mini-White House mansion. The inside is home to two friendly yet mischievous permanent residents – Karen and Ray. Karen has been spotted ascending the stairs a few times with her straight, gray hair and long dress, and Ray is known for being quite chatty.

the big tree inn

Built in 1833 The Big Tree Inn is one of the most familiar landmarks in the historic community of Geneseo. They offer overnight stays, dining, and an event center in a beautiful haunted inn. An old groundskeeper walking around with a lantern, a young girl in a green victorian dress and a young man in a dark suit and tophat are just a few of the travelers still around.

dansville ghost tour

October 6, 8 PM & October 13, 2 PM
Begins at Pioneer Park
This is an approximately 90 minute walking tour of the village of Dansville led by a guide who will regale local lore and alleged hauntings with local historical context. The events are rain or shine so people are encouraged to dress for the weather and of course, wear shoes that they comfortable walking about a mile and standing for 90 minutes in.

Using the historic village as its canvas, costumed tour guides will lead guests by candlelight through the darker recesses of the village you experience original tales adapted from historical accounts and folklore, and re-discover eerie literary classics that held WNY in suspense some 150 years ago. This year the Historic Village is overrun with witches of all types – secret and overt, good and evil – as depicted in eight theatrical vignettes.

paranormal investigations

Big Springs Museum, Caledonia
Paranormal Investigators visited the Big Springs Museum in April and will be presenting their findings. In addition, the investigators will discuss their process, the equipment they use and their experiences in many locations around the Greater Rochester area. Join us for a one hour presentation and wander around the museum (before or after) to take a look at our local history and possibly experience activity of your own. The museum will be open from 1PM until 5PM. Refreshments will be served.
